The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), in collaboration with the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, has officially commissioned the Accra Leisure and Recreational Park, also known as Geese Park, on Monday, 6 January 2025. Located adjacent to Asomdwee Park near Osu Castle, the facility is a significant addition to Ghana’s tourism landscape, offering recreational and leisure facilities to foster community engagement and enhance visitor experiences.

The park features a range of attractions, including a children’s playground, mini zoo, scenic fishpond, and an event centre suitable for conferences and celebrations. Visitors can also enjoy a snack bar, restaurant, and well-maintained amenities, with security measures in place to ensure safety. The commissioning ceremony was led by Hon. Andrew Egyapa Mercer, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, alongside government officials and tourism stakeholders.
