Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) has issued a travel advisory regarding fuel shortages at several of its key resorts, including Halali and Okaukuejo in Etosha National Park, Sesriem Campsite in Namib-Naukluft Park, and /Ai-/Ais Hotsprings & Spa in the /Ai-/Ais Richtersveld Transfrontier Park. Visitors are urged to refuel in nearby towns before entering these remote destinations, as on-site fuel is currently unavailable, which could disrupt travel plans.

The shortages come amid a resurgence in Namibia's tourism sector, with its national parks drawing increased visitor numbers. Travellers heading to Etosha National Park are advised to refuel in Outjo or Tsumeb, while those visiting Sesriem should plan stops in Solitaire or Maltahöhe. Keetmanshoop or Karasburg are the nearest options for those travelling to /Ai-/Ais Hotsprings & Spa. NWR has not provided a timeline for fuel availability to be restored, so visitors should plan accordingly for a smooth journey.
