FlySafair Launches New Cape Town–Hoedspruit Route
FlySafair has announced a new domestic route connecting Cape Town to Hoedspruit, launching on 2 October 2025. The flight will operate three times weekly – on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays – offering improved access to South Africa’s central Kruger region and adjacent private game reserves in Limpopo. With fares starting from R1,570 one way, this new link supports tourism to one of the country's premier wildlife regions and complements FlySafair’s existing Cape Town–Mbombela service, which is now being increased to daily frequency.
The enhanced route connectivity comes as South Africa sees renewed recovery in both domestic and international air travel. Hoedspruit and Mbombela serve as key entry points to the central and southern Kruger National Park respectively, making this development particularly valuable for the safari tourism sector. International connections are also expanding, with Qantas resuming Johannesburg–Perth flights in December 2025 and Air France reintroducing its seasonal Cape Town–Paris route over the peak summer period, adding thousands of inbound seats and reinforcing South Africa's global accessibility.
