FlySafair Expands Network with New Routes to Eastern Cape and Hoedspruit
FlySafair has announced three new domestic routes as part of its growing network across South Africa. Starting 1 November 2024, the airline will launch direct flights from Lanseria International Airport to King Phalo Airport in East London (six times weekly) and Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport in Gqeberha (daily). In addition, FlySafair will begin operating flights from Cape Town to Hoedspruit’s Eastgate Airport from 2 October, flying on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Fares for the new routes will start from R770.
The expansion enhances connectivity to key holiday and business destinations ahead of the summer season, particularly for travellers from Gauteng and the Western Cape. The new service to Hoedspruit improves access to the central Kruger region and surrounding private game reserves, while the increase in frequency on the Cape Town–Mbombela route to daily flights reflects strong demand for links to the Lowveld. FlySafair’s ongoing network growth is aligned with rising domestic travel interest and aims to offer passengers greater flexibility and choice across South Africa.
