Fly Gabon Launches Scheduled Services Between Libreville and Lagos

Fly Gabon has added Lagos to its route network, establishing a direct air link between Gabon's capital Libreville and Nigeria's commercial hub. The new service deepens the Gabonese carrier's presence in Nigeria, following the launch of services to Port Harcourt in early 2025, and strengthens scheduled connectivity between Central and West Africa. Lagos, as Africa's most populous city and a major driver of business and leisure travel demand, represents a significant market for the airline, which is positioning itself to capture corporate traffic between two of the continent's leading oil and gas economies.

The expansion supports the broader goal of improved intra-African connectivity, offering travel professionals additional routing options for passengers moving between West and Central African destinations. Libreville's geographic position makes it a viable transit point for onward connections to other Central African markets, adding flexibility for agents constructing multi-country itineraries. Having established operational experience on the Port Harcourt corridor, Fly Gabon's measured approach to Nigerian market entry - building brand presence before expanding to the larger Lagos market - positions the carrier for incremental growth, with West African markets such as Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, and Senegal representing potential targets for future expansion.
