Explore Asilia's Southern Tanzania in Virtual Reality

Asilia Africa is proud to announce the introduction of virtual reality videos of their experiences in southern Tanzania.

This new and innovative format showcases the beauty and breadth of experience available in two of Tanzania’s largest (and wildest) but little known safari areas; Ruaha National Park and the Selous Game Reserve. The series of short videos feature Asilia’s newest camps and the activities they offer. Experience a boating safari in virtual reality from Roho ya Selous or a walking safari from Jabali Ridge in Ruaha National Park –  this is bringing the sights and sounds of a safari right into your living room.

Viewable on any device (but best experienced through a VR headset), the 360 VR videos can be found on Asilia’s YouTube pageFacebook page, or website.

For Asilia’s industry partners and agents, these videos offer an enhanced training experience on these two new properties, as well as the parks in which they’re located.

For first-time safari-goers, the videos are an opportunity to “try before you buy” in an immersive and interactive way, whereas for more seasoned travellers this engaging experience gives an introduction to these  new properties and the wildlife experiences on offer here.

“Virtual reality is the closest thing to being physically at a destination or part of an experience. It is an engaging tool that allows our future guests to be transported to places they have never been before, or have only dreamed about visiting but were unsure what to expect,” says Steph Binns, Asilia Africa Brand Manager.

The new VR movies will be available to experience at We Are Africa in Cape Town in May.
