Eve Air Mobility and Moov Sign LOI for Up to 30 eVTOLs in Cape Verde

Eve Air Mobility and Swiss operator Moov have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for up to 30 Eve eVTOL aircraft, aimed at exploring advanced air mobility (AAM) opportunities across Cabo Verde and Europe. The agreement covers potential use cases including sightseeing flights, shuttle services between airports, ports and resorts, and regional connectivity across key islands including São Vicente, Santo Antão, Sal, Praia and Boa Vista, with medical transport and aerial work applications also under consideration.

The initiative comes as Cape Verde's tourism sector continues to grow strongly, with visitor arrivals reaching an estimated 1.18 million in 2024 - a 16.5% year-on-year increase, according to World Bank data. The archipelago's geographic diversity, infrastructure investment momentum and expanding tourism demand are cited as key factors underpinning the commercial case for eVTOL operations in the territory. Both companies view the agreement as an opportunity to develop premium, sustainable transport solutions that complement existing aviation networks while supporting broader connectivity and economic development across the mid-Atlantic island group.
