Etihad Begins Daily Flights to Addis Ababa

Etihad Airways has launched daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Addis Ababa, marking its debut in the Ethiopian market and strengthening Middle East–Africa air links. The new route coincides with the formal launch of a joint venture between Etihad and Ethiopian Airlines, enabling both carriers to operate daily services between the two capitals for a combined twice-daily offering.
Through the partnership, Etihad passengers gain access to over 55 destinations across Africa via Ethiopian’s network, while Ethiopian travellers can connect to more than 20 destinations in Asia, Australia, and the Middle East through Abu Dhabi. As part of a broader Africa strategy, Etihad is also increasing frequencies to Nairobi, Casablanca, and Johannesburg, launching new routes to Tunis and Algiers, and resuming Zanzibar flights in 2026. Addis Ababa becomes a central hub in the airline’s growing footprint across the continent.
