Etihad Airways to Resume Seasonal Zanzibar Flights in Summer 2026
Etihad Airways will restart seasonal flights between Abu Dhabi and Zanzibar from 14 June to 6 September 2026, operating four times per week. The route relaunch is part of the carrier’s broader network expansion, with Zanzibar becoming the airline’s 30th new destination announced in 2025.
The decision to resume the popular route is backed by Etihad’s recently expanded European schedule, designed to provide smoother connections through Abu Dhabi. The flights will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft with both Business and Economy class options, catering to strong summer demand from European and GCC travellers heading to the Indian Ocean destination.
