Ethiopian Aviation University graduates 457 aviation professionals
Ethiopian Aviation University, Africa’s largest aviation training centre, has graduated 457 aviation professionals in Addis Ababa on 17 January 2026. The cohort includes 58 pilots, 115 aircraft maintenance technicians and 284 cabin crew drawn from Ethiopia, Cameroon, Chad, Gabon, Italy, Madagascar, Malawi, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda and Yemen.
The milestone strengthens the region’s skills pipeline for airlines and airports – supporting connectivity, safety and service standards critical to Africa’s tourism growth. Part of Ethiopian Airlines Group, the university runs pilot, aircraft maintenance and cabin crew schools alongside degree programmes, and is expanding capacity through modern training facilities and industry partnerships.
