The new service will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays using a Boeing 737-8 aircraft, connecting Addis Ababa with Nacala via Blantyre.

The scheduled routing will see flight ET875 depart Addis Ababa at 09:20, arriving in Blantyre at 12:15. It will continue from Blantyre at 13:15, arriving in Nacala at 14:20, before departing Nacala at 15:10 for Addis Ababa, arriving at 20:05.

Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew said the addition of Nacala would further strengthen connections between Mozambique and Ethiopia while linking the city with the airline’s wider international network.

Nacala is an important trade and tourism centre in northern Mozambique, and the new route is expected to support greater economic, commercial and tourism connectivity.

Ethiopian Airlines currently serves more than 65 destinations across Africa as part of a network of more than 160 domestic and international passenger and cargo destinations.
