We are now looking for a talented and driven Marketing & PR Executive UK & Ireland to join our small and dedicated UK team. The post is currently on a full-time 2-year fixed term contract basis, standard office hours 0900-1730 (Mon-Fri) and based in our Brentford, London office. Role: Reporting to the Sales Manager UK & Ireland, the role will be pivotal in helping to shape and grow the visibility of our award-winning product and to support Ethiopian Airlines UK & Ireland’s growth ambitions.
What you will be doing:
- Planning and implementation of UK & Ireland offline/online PR/marketing strategy/campaigns to support B2B and B2C activities to meet key KPIs of Revenue and Brand.
- Plan and generate positive and strong PR to ensure Ethiopian Airlines is positioned as a leading African carrier in the UK market.
- Planning and implementation of digital marketing strategy/campaign activities including social media management to increase brand awareness, followers and engagement.
- Planning and implementation of promotional offers, value-add and ancillary product propositions, and loyalty initiatives to achieve revenue, yield improvement, and digital targets.
- Collaborate and manage relationships with internal and external parties such as tourist boards, representation companies etc. to plan and execute joint campaigns.
- Working with internal/external partners to create/manage range of content and marketing assets, according to market segment.
- Planning, organisation and some presence at B2B/B2C events.
- Closer coordination with relevant internal/external stake holders to assist with projects to improve the design, usability and functionality of company website and mobile app. including assisting with updating of relevant content.
- General marketing activity aligned with sales strategy and business development activity.
- Research current products and market trends and present ideas for enhancement.
- Be a brand guardian for the business and ensure that all activity and collateral are delivered on brand and on time.
- Allocation and management/reporting of budgets and ROI tracking.
What we are looking for:
- A passionate marketer who is results focused and who understands ROI and tracking metrics.
- Strong experience in a well-rounded communications or marketing role, ideally within the travel sector.
- Proven success in developing and managing integrated marketing and PR campaigns across multiple platforms.
- A strategic and creative thinker with a passion for building compelling, brand-aligned communications.
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with a flair for engaging content and storytelling.
- Proficient with CMS tools and marketing platforms (e.g. WordPress, Mailchimp), with hands-on campaign experience.
- Confident working with data, audience segmentation, and reporting to optimise marketing activity.
- Skilled in digital content creation and visual storytelling to drive meaningful engagement.
- Friendly and approachable, with a team-oriented mindset.
- Highly organised with solid project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A confident, organized, analytical and articulate team player with a commercial mind set.
- A self-starter who is hands-on, can work independently and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Collaborative, proactive and confident when working across teams or representing the business externally.
- An ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organizations including strong stakeholder management skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability and a co-operative attitude.
- Have a sense of humor and an ability to keep up with a varied and busy role.
