Ethiopian Airlines launches Nacala – Addis Ababa route from Tuesday
Ethiopian Airlines is launching direct flights between Nacala, in northern Mozambique, and Addis Ababa from 28 October, operating the route three times a week. The new service improves air connectivity for the country's northern region, which has historically been less accessible to international travellers and investors than the capital, Maputo.
Mozambique's Ministry of Transport and Logistics welcomed the launch, reaffirming the government's commitment to developing international routes to support regional integration and strengthen the economic competitiveness of national infrastructure. The route is expected to open new opportunities for inbound tourism, trade and investment in northern Mozambique, a region with significant natural and cultural assets that has seen growing interest from the private sector.
