Ethiopian Airlines Goes Live on AirGateway with NDC Content
Ethiopian Airlines, Africa's largest airline group, has gone live on the AirGateway platform with its New Distribution Capability (NDC) content, giving travel agencies, Travel Management Companies and consolidators direct access to its fares and services through BookingPad, the AirGateway API and partner booking tools. The integration, announced today from Addis Ababa, enables agencies to shop, book and service Ethiopian Airlines' content - including seat selection, ancillaries, voids, refunds and rebookings - within a single workflow, without switching to a separate portal.
Ethiopian Airlines serves more than 145 destinations across five continents from its Addis Ababa hub, and the new integration extends its NDC reach across the global travel trade. Meaza Taye, Distribution and Global Corporate Sales Director at Ethiopian Airlines Group, described the move as part of the airline's broader digital strategy, noting that AirGateway's connectivity with agencies and booking platforms worldwide would allow Ethiopian to "reach and serve customers more seamlessly." AirGateway CEO Jorge Díaz said the partnership strengthens the platform's aggregator role across the EMEA region, its primary operational market.
