Ethiopian Airlines Fly Fans to Champions League Final

Ethiopian Airlines partnered with ACC Aviation Group, to fly hundreds of fans to Madrid for the UEFA Champions League final between Liverpool FC and Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend.

Excited fans travelled from three airports around the country to Madrid to watch the all English club final. Ethiopian chartered three widebody aircraft for SportOptions.com, the UK’s largest sports tour operator, with Reds fans travelling from Liverpool and Manchester aboard our Boeing 787-900 and 787-800 Dreamliners, while Spurs fans flew out of London Heathrow aboard our Airbus A350-900.

Ethiopian Airlines UK Country Manager, Michael Yohannes, comments “Ethiopian is delighted to work with ACC Aviation Group and proud to operate Champions League final charters for a second year running.  Ethiopian, with regular schedule flights from Manchester and London, is able to extend its service for special charters and this weekend enabled Liverpool and Tottenham fans to live their dream and be in Madrid to support their team.”
