Ethiopia Unveils ‘Visit Ethiopia’ Platform to Promote Country's Tourism Services and Destinations
Ethiopia’s Ministry of Tourism has launched ‘Visit Ethiopia’, a new digital platform aimed at simplifying the travel planning process for visitors. Introduced on 8 July in Addis Ababa, the platform serves as a centralised hub where tourists can book accommodation, tours, transport, and related services, streamlining the end-to-end travel experience. The initiative supports the government’s broader push to digitise tourism under the country’s Digital Ethiopia 2025 strategy.
Developed in partnership with the Information Network Security Administration (INSA), the platform also benefits from collaboration with key agencies including Ethiopian Airlines, Immigration and Customs. Tourism Minister Selamawit Kassa highlighted the platform’s potential to connect travellers with Ethiopia’s diverse attractions while strengthening the broader tourism value chain. Officials see the platform as a strategic tool to enhance accessibility and competitiveness in the regional tourism market.
