Ethiopia Showcased Heritage and Tourism at Pakistan Travel Mart

The Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad, in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines, launched the "Ethiopian Enclave" at Pakistan Travel Mart 2026, which opened on Friday at the Karachi Expo Centre. The pavilion was designed to highlight Ethiopia's ancient heritage, diverse tourism landscapes, and cultural identity, and received visits from senior Pakistani officials including Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Tourism, and Aftab ur Rehman Rana, Managing Director of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation.

The enclave drew strong interest from Karachi residents, media representatives, and travel agencies, with visitors experiencing a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony while exploring bilateral opportunities in hospitality and travel. The exhibit ran through Sunday, 5 April, as part of Pakistan Travel Mart 2026 - the country's largest international travel and tourism exhibition - successfully positioning Ethiopia as a destination of interest for Pakistani travellers.
