Eswatini Tourism Authority 2026 events calendar spotlights a range of large-scale and cultural events across the Kingdom. Highlights include the MTN Bushfire Festival, an African music festival held in the Malkerns Valley, alongside traditional festivals, hikes, markets, and mountain biking and trail running races. According to Chunky Mdluli-Dlamini, Head of Marketing at Eswatini Tourism Authority, the calendar is published annually to "maximise visitor arrivals, drive economic growth and enhance Eswatini's brand visibility."
The calendar is also proving a practical tool for tour operators. Lindelwa Mlotsa, Founder of Stiba's Tours, noted that the streamlined scheduling has reduced date clashes that previously split the market, adding that the calendar helps operators diversify itineraries beyond safari bookings to include cultural and lifestyle events. "Often a client might book for a safari but, after we show them the calendar, they extend their stay to catch a local festival," Mlotsa said.
