Eswatini Air to launch first direct Eswatini – Lusaka service on 1 April
Eswatini Air will inaugurate a nonstop route between King Mswati III International Airport (SHO) and Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) on 1 April 2026, creating the first direct air link between Eswatini and Zambia. The service will remove the need to route via Johannesburg and is expected to shorten journey times for leisure and business travellers; schedules, frequency, aircraft type and fares will be announced in the coming weeks.
Established in 2022 under the Royal Eswatini National Airways Corporation, Eswatini Air operates regional services to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Harare. Adding Lusaka strengthens SADC connectivity and supports packaging of multi‑country itineraries – linking Eswatini’s cultural and wildlife attractions with Zambia’s established safari hubs including South Luangwa, Lower Zambezi and Victoria Falls.
