ENVI Lodges Appoints Director of Sales and Director of Operations to Drive Expansion
Experiential outdoor hospitality brand ENVI Lodges has appointed Lianne Kelly-Maartens as Director of Sales & Marketing - Africa and Shanawaz Basheer as Director of Operations, as the company prepares for expansion across Tanzania, Zanzibar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia between 2026 and 2027. Kelly-Maartens brings over 20 years of luxury travel and hospitality experience, having held senior commercial roles at Cape Grace, Matetsi Victoria Falls, Sun International, and We Are Africa. In her new role, she will lead ENVI Lodges' sales and marketing strategy across Africa, with a focus on elevating the brand's profile in key international markets including Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
Basheer joins with more than 20 years of international experience in luxury lodge operations and pre-opening projects across Africa and Asia, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer of Wildplaces Africa - The Uganda Safari Company. He has held senior roles at properties including AMAN and has operational experience across Ghana, India, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. At ENVI Lodges, he will oversee operations across the brand's growing portfolio, with a focus on delivering responsible, nature-led hospitality and community benefit. Co-Founder Noelle Homsy said both appointments reflect the brand's commitment to building a leadership team that aligns with its values as it moves into its next phase of growth.
