Emirates to add third daily Dubai – Nairobi service
Emirates has announced a third daily service on the Dubai – Nairobi route from 1 March 2026, taking its schedule to 21 flights per week. The new early‑morning rotation is timed to improve two‑way connectivity with key European markets including the UK, France, Norway and Italy, as well as the US – supporting Kenya’s goal to reach 5 million international tourists by 2030.
Operated by a three‑class Boeing 777 with First Class, the EK717/718 service complements Emirates’ double‑daily operation, which the airline reports is running at healthy seat factors. The timings are set to connect with Kenya Airways services to regional destinations such as Rwanda, Kilimanjaro, Mozambique and Burundi, with the interline having carried 31,000 passengers since 2023. The additional frequency also adds 280 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity for perishables and comes as Emirates marks 30 years on the Nairobi route after carrying 6.6 million passengers since 1995.
