Emirates Launches Third Daily Dubai – Nairobi Flight to Boost Kenya Connectivity
Emirates commenced its third daily service between Dubai and Nairobi on 1 July 2026, bringing its total weekly operations on the route to 21 flights. The new morning arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is designed to facilitate smoother onward connections to Kenya's national parks and coastline, as well as same-day links to European hubs. The additional frequency also adds 280 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity, benefiting Kenya's flower and fresh produce export sectors.
The expansion builds on Emirates' 30-year presence in Kenya and extends its reach to over 138 destinations via Dubai. Kenya Tourism Board CEO June Chepkemei welcomed the development as a key enabler of the country's tourism growth ambitions, noting its potential to improve access from major global source markets and support job creation. Kenya's Principal Secretary for Tourism, Ambassador Julius Bitok, echoed this sentiment, describing enhanced air connectivity as central to driving visitor arrivals and showcasing the country's wildlife, coastline and cultural offering to the world.
