Emirates Expands Madagascar Flights to Meet Rising Demand
Emirates will increase its services to Madagascar from four to six weekly flights starting 2 April 2025. The enhanced schedule, which operates daily except Mondays, connects Dubai with Antananarivo via Mahé, responding to growing demand for travel between the UAE and Madagascar. This move aligns with Madagascar's tourism ambitions and aims to strengthen economic ties with the UAE by improving air connectivity.
The additional flights support Madagascar’s push to attract 1 million tourists annually by 2028, highlighting its rich biodiversity and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Beyond boosting tourism, the expanded route offers increased cargo capacity of 20 tonnes per flight, opening more trade opportunities. With connections to over 140 global destinations through Emirates’ network, Madagascar’s key outbound travel markets, including France, UAE, Seychelles, and Japan, are expected to benefit from the enhanced air links.
