Emirates and Air Mauritius Strengthen Strategic Partnership

Emirates and Air Mauritius have renewed their long-standing strategic partnership with the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Mauritius, formalising continued cooperation on codeshare services, frequent flyer programmes, and cargo operations. The agreement, first established in 2003 and renewed in 2013, allows reciprocal codesharing on select routes beyond each airline’s hub, including enhanced connectivity for travellers between Mauritius and destinations across the Emirates network.
Under the renewed terms, Air Mauritius will codeshare on Emirates flights to Cairo, Colombo, Karachi, and six cities in Saudi Arabia, while Emirates continues to place its code on Air Mauritius's service to Antananarivo. Since the partnership began, Emirates has carried more than 8.8 million passengers and uplifted 126,000 tonnes of cargo to and from Mauritius. The collaboration has generated an estimated $900 million in economic benefits for the island, including job creation, increased tourism receipts and enhanced global connectivity, reinforcing Mauritius as a globally accessible tourism destination.
