Emirates Adds Third Daily Flight to Mauritius
Emirates will launch a third daily flight to Mauritius from 1 December 2025, significantly increasing capacity on the popular Indian Ocean route. Operated by a Boeing 777-300ER in a three-class configuration, the additional service will boost seat availability by over 30%. The new frequency, coded EK709/710, complements Emirates’ existing two daily A380 flights and is introduced under the airline’s longstanding codeshare partnership with Air Mauritius.
The additional flight strengthens global connectivity to Mauritius from key source markets in the Middle East, Europe, the Americas, and Asia. By enhancing access to the island from over 140 points across the Emirates network, the move supports both leisure and business travel as well as the local tourism economy. Emirates has carried over 8.8 million passengers to Mauritius since 2002, contributing significantly to the nation’s visitor arrivals, cargo services, and employment through tourism and aviation-linked roles.
