EgyptAir Launches Direct Cairo - Venice Route, Expanding Italy Network to 33 Weekly Flights
EgyptAir has launched its first direct service between Cairo and Venice, operated by an Airbus A320neo, bringing the airline's total weekly flights between Egypt and Italy to 33. The new route adds two weekly Venice services to an existing schedule of 17 weekly flights to Milan and 14 to Rome, making Venice the third new destination added under EgyptAir's current expansion plan.
The Italy network growth follows recent route launches to Los Angeles and Chicago, reflecting a broader push by EgyptAir to extend its international connectivity. The Cairo - Venice service opens a direct link between Egypt and one of Europe's most visited cities, offering potential for increased two-way tourism traffic between the two countries, particularly as Italian arrivals to Egypt rose 15% in early 2026.
