EGYPTAIR Becomes First Middle East and Africa Airline to Deploy IATA NDC 24.4
EGYPTAIR has become the first airline in the Middle East and Africa to deploy IATA NDC 24.4 in a live production environment, marking a significant milestone in the region's shift towards modern airline retailing. The deployment was powered by TPConnects Technologies through its Astra platform and introduces enhanced order management, improved service-level pricing accuracy, real-time order-based reconciliation and clearer penalty visibility - capabilities designed to improve the booking and servicing experience for travel agents, online travel agencies and travel management companies.
The advancement builds on EGYPTAIR's existing implementation of the TPConnects Astra NDC solution and supports the airline's broader move towards offer and order-based airline retailing.
