EasyJet Launches Direct Strasbourg-Marrakech Service as Morocco Network Grows

EasyJet has introduced a new direct route between Strasbourg and Marrakech, operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays between Strasbourg-Entzheim Airport and Marrakech Menara Airport. The service strengthens travel links between France and Morocco, providing a more convenient option for tourists, business travellers, students, and the Moroccan diaspora, who previously relied largely on connecting flights or indirect routings.

The new route forms part of EasyJet's wider expansion in Morocco, following the launch of its first African base at Marrakech-Menara Airport. Backed by an investment of more than €300 million, the base includes three Airbus aircraft and is expected to offer up to 4 million seats in its first year, under a 2025 partnership with the Moroccan National Tourist Office. EasyJet plans further links to Agadir and Essaouira, bringing its Morocco network to 58 routes. The expansion comes amid strong tourism growth in the country, with Morocco recording MAD 31 billion in travel receipts in the first quarter of 2026, up 24% year-on-year, and 4.3 million arrivals, a 7% increase.
