Dream Hotels & Resorts (DHR) is pleased to announce the launch of Mangwanani Dream Spas, a series of boutique spas in collaboration with Mangwanani African Spa.

“Opening at select lodges, hotels, and resorts within our portfolio, this unique rebrand reflects our dedication to ensuring quality experiences for our guests,” says Brent Dickson, Director of DHR.

“With a strong foothold in the local wellness arena, Mangwanani is a brand our guests genuinely love. It is also a company we admire and have enjoyed building a relationship with over the years.”

The first Mangwanani Dream Spa opened at Zimbali Lodge along the north coast of KwaZulu-Natal. The second outlet is at The Blue Marlin Hotel in Scottburgh, followed by a third at Nibela Lake Lodge in St Lucia within the first quarter of 2022.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Dream Hotels & Resorts in bringing the Mangwanani Dream Spa concept to life,” says Erin Limbert of Mangwanani African Spa.

“Although our brands have combined, the overall offering will continue to reflect that of a signature Mangwanani experience. Guests and visitors can look forward to enjoying our exclusive collection of luxury treatments and products, paired with a high level of service,” she adds.

Established in 2002, Mangwanani African Spa has built up a reputable name and is consistently voted the number one spa group in South Africa. All Mangwanani products are 100% natural and made with organic ingredients sourced locally.

“It’s the best of both,” explains Dickson. “Our rebranded Mangwanani Dream Spas will ensure our guests always feel pampered and well cared for while being fully immersed in some of the most enticing and soul-stirring destinations in the country.”

He further highlights that a significant factor in driving their official collaboration with Mangwanani was their shared values around social responsibility.

“Community upliftment has always been our North Star,” he explains. “Giving back and doing what we can to create career opportunities in the areas surrounding our properties has become integral to every business decision.”

“One of our primary focuses is to uplift rural women, which ties in with the African spirit that drives Mangwanani,” adds Limbert.

“Mangwanani provides training and accredited qualifications to produce some of the finest qualified therapists and we are excited to continue offering career opportunities through the launch of Mangwanani Dream Spas.”

The collaboration between Dream Hotels & Resorts and Mangwanani African Spa further highlights the move towards further rebuilding the travel, tourism and hospitality industry.

“If Covid-19 has taught us anything, it’s the value of supporting each other and lifting each other up,” says Dickson.

“Growing together is what’s most important, and we are immensely grateful for the partnerships we’ve nurtured since the early days of lockdown. As a team, we’re excited to keep creating, collaborating, and dreaming big as we enter 2022,” he concludes.
