Discover Airlines announces direct Munich-Windhoek service from 2025

Discover Airlines has announced the launch of direct flights from Munich to Windhoek, Namibia, commencing on 1st April 2025. This new route will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, significantly expanding the airline's long-haul services.

The addition of the Munich-Windhoek route is part of Discover Airlines' broader strategy to enhance its long-haul offerings from Munich Airport. Two Airbus A330s will be based in Munich from March 2025 to support these new routes.

In addition to Windhoek, Discover Airlines will also introduce direct flights from Munich to Orlando, USA, and Calgary, Canada, providing greater travel options for leisure travellers.

Bernd Bauer, CEO of Discover Airlines, commented: "This step aligns with our goal of expanding Lufthansa's offering at the two major German hubs with diverse and attractive holiday options, giving travellers even more choice. These destinations have not previously been accessible by direct flight from Munich, or not for many years."

All flights will depart from Terminal 2 at Munich Airport, facilitating smooth transfers for passengers connecting from Lufthansa flights.
