Victoria Falls is a spectacular force of nature that everyone should experience at least once. Known as the adrenalin capital of Africa, this is a town that offers a lot more than a picturesque waterfall. 

Hwange National Park

The largest and most popular in Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park offers excellent wildlife viewing including the Big Five. The Hwange area is particularly special to elephant lovers, up to 1000 have been counted at a single waterhole in a day and 40 000 are believed to roam the park.

Bulawayo Bulawayo

Known as the City of Kings, Bulawayo is famed for its colonial architecture and close proximity to attractions such as Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park and Matobo National Park. The city stands on some of the most ancient rock ever laid and features tree-lined streets, lush parks, a Natural History Museum, railway museum and the Mzilikazi Art and Craft Centre. What’s priceless about Bulawayo though is its friendly and welcoming people who will make every visit memorable beyond measure.  

 

Eastern Highlands Eastern Highlands

The Eastern Highlands is a mountain range in the east of Zimbabwe rich in grassland and forests, ideal for avid walkers, birders and botanists. There are parks located in the highlands, this is not a prime safari destination and it’s the outdoors activities that really shine. From spectacular scenic drives and excellent walking, hiking and horse-riding trails to trout fishing, golfing and bird watching – the Eastern Highlands make a perfect introduction or final flourish to a holiday in Zimbabwe.

A laid-back city with wide avenues of blooming jacarandas, Harare offers visitors a sunny African smile and a wide range of fine dining options, museums, bars and craft markets. Also known as the Sunshine City, Harare is home to popular attractions including: The National Heroes Acre, The Mukuvisi Woodlands - described as a touch of the wild in the heart of the city, Lake Chivero Recreational Park, Tsindi Monument, Chiremba Balancing Rocks, Mbizi Game Park and the Wild is Life Animal Sanctuary.

 

Hwange Hwange

The largest and most popular in Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park offers excellent wildlife viewing including the Big Five. The Hwange area is particularly special to elephant lovers, up to 1000 have been counted at a single waterhole in a day and 40 000 are believed to roam the park. Bird watching is also an attraction from November to April when migratory birds return from Europe and Northern Africa. For walking safaris or game drives, Hwange National Park has it all.

A wilderness and beauty world heritage site, Mana Pools National Park is an outstanding destination for classic safaris. Home to over 350 bird species and a great diversity of wildlife and aquatic species, the location is ideal for active pursuits including wilderness trails, guided and unguided walking, lion tracking, canoeing and game drives. It’s also perfect for more solitude endeavours like fishing in the Zambezi River surrounded by the beauty of unspoilt bush. Game viewing is best during dry seasons (June – October) when wildlife hang out at the river.

Located in the heart of Zimbabwe, the Mashonaland Central Region is known for its cultural heritage, stunning landscapes and vibrant community which makes it the ideal destination for nature, adventure and culture enthusiasts. Visit the Nyatsimba Mutota ruins in Mbire, follow the Dinosaur Spoor Trail in Chewore, find fossilised stones at Angwa, go waterfall dipping at Sohwe Falls. This region includes Mana Pools National Park and Lake Kariba Recreational Park with its 2000km shoreline that offers game viewing, tiger fishing, boat cruises and crocodile tours. Darwendale Recreational Park is mostly covered by Lake Manyame is the ideal destination for fishing, boating, bird and game viewing. The Chinhoyi Caves with its famous ‘Wonder Hole’ are perfect for cave exploring and scuba diving. Matusadona National Park with its Intensive Protection Zone is home to relocated black rhino and other endangered species in addition to the Big 5 safari experience.

Masvingo Masvingo

The Gonarezhou National Park is in this province, Gonarezhou meaning 'Place of many Elephants' is a scenic landscape famed for its herds of large tusks elephants but is also known for its birdlife and aquatic species. Save Valley Conservancy Park is committed to the preservation of black and white rhino and the African wild dog while hosting the Big Five and a 670 species of bird. Lake Mutirikwi is one of the most beautiful parks in all of Zim and boasts a thriving white rhino population. Chesvingo Karanga Village brings the Karanga culture to life with traditional food, dance and games.
