Delta Expands African Network with New Routes to Marrakech and Accra

Delta Air Lines has announced the launch of its first-ever nonstop service from Atlanta to Marrakech, Morocco, beginning on 25 October 2025. The airline will also introduce a seasonal daily service to Accra, Ghana, starting on 1 December 2025, catering to peak holiday demand. The Atlanta-Marrakech route will operate three times a week using the Boeing 767-400ER, while the Atlanta-Accra service will be served by the Airbus A330-900neo. These additions strengthen Delta’s African footprint, offering greater connectivity and seamless access for travellers connecting from over 125 U.S. cities.
Delta is also enhancing the passenger experience with fast, free Wi-Fi across its international fleet, including these new routes. The expansion aligns with improvements at Delta’s Atlanta hub, reinforcing its role as a key gateway for travel to and from Africa. Travel professionals and industry stakeholders stand to benefit from increased accessibility between North America and Africa, with these routes strategically timed to align with peak demand. The move reflects growing interest in African destinations for both business and leisure travel, contributing to the broader expansion of aviation connectivity in the region.
