Condor to Resume Frankfurt - Windhoek Flights in Summer 2027
Condor will resume flights between Frankfurt and Windhoek from the end of June 2027, reintroducing a route last operated by the airline between 2014 and 2021. The service will run three times weekly - on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays - operated by Condor's Airbus A330neo fleet. The airline cited strong and sustained demand from German leisure travellers as the driver behind the decision, with Windhoek serving as the primary gateway for visitors to Namibia's national parks and the broader Southern African region.
The announcement follows Discover Airlines' own expansion of its Munich - Windhoek service to five weekly flights, meaning both major German leisure carriers are now increasing capacity on the route simultaneously. The combined growth will substantially boost seat availability between Germany and Namibia, offering greater choice for travellers and tour operators while reinforcing Namibia's standing as a key long-haul leisure destination for the German market. The increased competition and connectivity signal a positive outlook for inbound tourism to Namibia from one of its most important European source markets.
