Closure of The River Club as a lodge, effective 1st January 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the closure of The River Club as a lodge, effective 1st January 2024.
The good news is - we have exciting plans for the future!
The Ultra Properties Ltd Team responsible for managing the celebrated ‘The River Club’, will continue lodge operations on the Zambezi.
From 1st December 2022, The River Club property passed to new owners. Since then, The River Club lodge (as a business) has operated under a management contract in the name of Ultra Properties Limited (Zambia). Recently, the property owners decided to refocus the usage of the property in other directions.
The Ultra Properties Team is now able to focus on and dedicate itself to current and future ventures in Livingstone. We have exciting projects in development and will update our followers as we create totally unique and magical new experiences for guests.
The Ultra Properties management team will continue to offer our usual friendly and professional services in the same spirit as before.
Meanwhile, we would like to thank our guests, trade partners, suppliers, friends and family for the immense support, patronage and care over the years; some of you from as far back as 1997 when the lodge first opened. Those who know and love The River Club as much as we do, know the deep roots and extensive history that have made this superior property as special as it is.
To our guests and trade partners who are holding reservations in 2024 and beyond, please don’t worry. We have been working behind the scenes and will be in touch with each of you to offer alternative arrangements for your accommodation.
For existing and any new bookings for the remainder of 2023; we look forward to welcoming all guests as usual, and offer assurance that stays with us will be extra special. Please feel free to continue booking The River Club until the end of this year.
