CityBlue Hotels Launches AI Concierge Rollout Across Sub-Saharan Africa

CityBlue Hotels has partnered with UK-based Inntelo AI to deploy AI concierge agents across its African properties, marking one of the first scaled implementations of AI-native hospitality technology in sub-Saharan Africa. The rollout currently covers hotels in Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania, with expansion planned to Ghana, Uganda and Zambia, alongside strategic tie-ups in South Africa and Mozambique. The partnership arrives as Africa's hospitality sector continues to grow, with UN Tourism recording an 8% year-on-year increase in international arrivals to the continent in 2025, reaching 81 million visitors.

Inntelo AI's platform coordinates guest interactions and service requests, automates workflows and supports faster response times, enabling hotel staff to focus on in-person service delivery. The partnership also includes educational programmes aimed at advancing AI skills and innovation across Africa's hospitality industry. "This partnership allows us to embed AI at the core of how we operate - supporting our teams in real time, reducing friction, and elevating the guest experience across every property," said CityBlue Hotels founder and CEO Jameel Verjee. Inntelo AI's technology is already deployed across hotels in the UK, Europe and Asia.
