Cape Town Launches New Visitor Guide Highlighting Local Creativity and Inclusive Tourism

Cape Town has launched its 2025/26 Visitor Guide at Africa’s Travel Indaba, spotlighting the city’s diverse cultural offerings and commitment to inclusive tourism. This year’s edition features original artwork by students from Oakley House High School, a neurodiverse learning institution, reinforcing the city’s focus on accessibility and representation across its tourism output.
The guide, available in both print and digital formats, introduces interactive elements and showcases experiences beyond traditional tourist highlights. City officials underscored tourism’s role as a key economic driver, with Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, Alderman James Vos, describing it as “more than a selfie with Table Mountain.” Cape Town Tourism CEO Enver Duminy noted that the guide aims to reflect the city’s creative energy while offering a platform for local talent, encouraging travellers to engage with Cape Town as a dynamic, inclusive destination.
