Cabo Verde Airlines to relaunch Praia – Recife direct flights in May 2026
Cabo Verde Airlines will resume twice-weekly direct flights between Praia and Recife from May 2026, ending a near six-year pause. The service will be operated by Boeing 737 aircraft and is aimed at improving West Africa – Brazil connectivity for both business and leisure travel.
The restart follows the reinstatement of key regulatory approvals, including ETOPS certification for extended twin‑engine operations. The route is expected to support tourism flows and trade links, offering African travel professionals a renewed gateway to Brazilian destinations and wider South American markets.
