The Landscape: The terrain transitions beautifully from thick riverine forests along the mighty Limpopo River in the south to open savanna woodlands in the north, beautifully punctuated by rugged rocky outcrops and ancient, towering Baobabs.
Thriving Biodiversity: The reserve is a haven for Elephant, Leopard, Lion, Hyena, Zebra, Giraffe, and Wildebeest, alongside specialized birdlife like the rare Pel's Fishing Owl.
The Sound of the Tuli: The reserve is dominated by its highest peak, Tswehe Hill, named after the elusive Mountain Reedbuck whose distinct whistling call echoes across the land
The Camp: Lone Tree Camp
Tucked away completely in the wilderness, our new base is an intimate, comfortable sanctuary that accommodates a maximum of 10 guests across 5 premium tented units
Each tented unit is designed with a private deck, a hammock, and comfortable loungers opening onto uninterrupted bush views.
The Family Configuration: For families or small private groups, two of the tented units are seamlessly linked by an elevated walkway, creating a connected yet private space to share.
Camp Amenities: At the centre of camp life is an ancient Nyala Berry Tree, known as "Lone Tree". This serves as the central firepit and boma gathering point for starlit dinners. A refreshing swimming pool and viewing deck offer instant relief during warm Tuli days.
Shared Lodge Spaces: Features a fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable communal areas designed for unhurried downtime and shared meals. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.
The Eye-Level Photographic Hide: Similar to our Klein Klipspringer private camp in South Africa, this camp also includes a private photographic hide. Just a short walk from camp is an exceptional underground photographic hide positioned right at a busy waterhole. Guests can quietly observe wildlife at eye level, with elephants and predators regularly passing within mere meters of the structure
