Auric Air Inclusion on EU Safety List

The European Union has recently made the decision to temporarily restrict all airlines certified by the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) from operating within EU airspace. While Auric Air does not operate direct scheduled services to or from Europe, we understand that this development may raise concerns among our partners, clients, and stakeholders, particularly those involved in international travel and tourism.
We would like to clarify that this inclusion is not a reflection of Auric Air’s individual safety or operational standards, nor of those of any specific Tanzanian operator. Rather, the restriction was applied at a national level, based solely on the country of certification.
Auric Air is fully certified by the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA), a recognized member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). In addition to our national certification, we are proud to maintain internationally respected safety credentials, including the Flight Safety Foundation’s Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) accreditation and the IATA Standard Safety Assessment (ISSA) certification.
These accreditations are issued and maintained through rigorous, recurrent audits conducted by their respective program offices in Carlton, Australia (BARS) and Montreal, Canada (ISSA). These recognitions affirm our ongoing commitment to operational safety and compliance with global aviation standards.
We do not view safety and quality as obligations, but as core values that guide every aspect of our operations. We urge any international travel partners to contact us for any further information and to explore available options to ensure that your journey with us remains safe and fully compliant with internationally recognized standards and insurance obligations.
