We are thrilled to announce ATI Holidays’ B Corp recertification on the new V2 standards! This has been a rigorous process involving many months of work, learning and understanding the new standards and how they relate to the travel industry and to our home in Namibia, and ensuring we provide solid evidence of our compliance in everyday operations.

The new standards mean that B Corp companies must clearly demonstrate exactly what we do to ensure we fulfill the requirements of all seven impact topics:

• Purpose & Stakeholder Governance: Companies act in accordance with a defined purpose and embed stakeholder governance in decision making. By doing so, they contribute to an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economic system for all people and the planet.

• Fair Work: Companies provide good quality jobs and have positive workplace cultures.

• Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI): B Corps have inclusive and diverse workplaces and contribute to just and equitable communities.

• Human Rights: Companies treat people with dignity and respect their human rights.

• Climate Action: Companies take action to combat the climate crisis and its impacts.

• Environmental Stewardship & Circularity: Companies demonstrate environmental stewardship and contribute to the circular economy in their operations and value chain. They both minimize negative impacts, to help stay within ecological thresholds, and pursue positive impacts.

• Government Affairs & Collective Action: Companies play a leadership role in fostering shared understanding and implementing solutions toward an equitable, inclusive, and regenerative economy. This role includes a fair and responsible contribution to their operating countries’ economies and infrastructure.

This is a vitally important part of our preparations for the EU Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive which comes into effect in just 10 days time. All sustainability claims must by law be backed up by precise quantitative information and be publicly available, no more vague ‘greenwashing’!

We are excited for the future as we know the B Corp journey is exactly that, as a business for good we are constantly working towards improving our positive impact and that will never stop. Under the new standards, we will be assessed again in 3 and 5 years time, and must demonstrate measurable positive progress across all impact standards.

A huge thanks to our amazing team and industry partners, without whom we couldn’t welcome so many travellers to Namibia for their truly sustainable Journeys of a Lifetime!
