At last, North America, it's your turn to witness the iconic wildlife extravaganza: Kingdom

The wait is over! BBC Kingdom airs on Saturday, January 24 (8 PM ET/PT), on BBC America and AMC+ and we can't wait for you to 'meet' Olimba!

For many, Olimba is a name that needs little introduction. She is one of the standout stars of Kingdom, a remarkable leopard whose story has been captured across several documentaries filmed right here in the Nsefu Sector — a truly iconic part of the South Luangwa, where Robin Pope Safaris have operated in for the last 40 years.

'Olimba' was christened by award-winning wildlife filmmakers Will & Lianne Steenkamp, who followed her life for more than a decade. They chose her name, meaning strength in the local Zambian language — because it perfectly reflected her character as a fierce hunter and devoted mother. Based at Nsefu Camp, Will and Lianne recognised early on that she was something extraordinary. And how fortunate were we, that Olimba chose to make her home in our 'backyard' for the last ten years!

Although Olimba sadly passed away late last year after 14 glorious years, her legacy lives on through Leopard Legacy, the award-winning film that captured her journey, as well as many other docuseries, the latest being BBC Kingdom.

In honour of this incredible series, we're giving people the chance to witness Kingdom in real time with our Nsefu Kingdom Safari. An exclusive six-guest safari led by Keyala “Kiki” Phiri, exploring the Nsefu Sector landscapes that inspired the BBC Kingdom series, with opportunities to encounter some of the show’s wildlife stars in their natural habitat.

Our camps, guides, and staff have all played some part in supporting the BBC Kingdom film team, and we’re so proud to see our beloved Olimba and the Nsefu Sector (our special corner of South Luangwa) being broadcasted across the world.

Happy Watching!
