Anthea Turner to celebrate big birthday, with trip to Tanzania

TV-celebrity Anthea Turner is set to celebrate her 65th birthday this May, whilst enjoying a fabulous trip to Tanzania.
Travelling with fiancé, Mark Armstrong, she will take in Lemala Hamerkop House (Arusha), Lemala Mpingo Ridge in Tarangire, Wilderness Collection's Crater's Edge Lodge in Ngorongoro and Bushtops Serengeti, before flying with Auric Air back to Arusha.
From here, Anthea will be treated to a scenic helicopter flight over Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro with Tropic Air, before heading to the stunning Bawe Island in the Zanzibar Archipelago. All ground arrangements have been coordinated with Green Inspirations DMC.
As Anthea explained, "From my days presenting TV travel shows, I've been lucky enough to travel far and wide across the globe, but there was only ever going to be one place I wanted to spend this big birthday - and that was in Tanzania!"
The entire trip is set to be shared with Anthea's 300,000 social media followers who will be treated to daily updates via short videos on all aspects of her visit (especially activities and accommodation), as well tips on maintaining your skin, hair, body and general well-being, whilst under the African sun.
In addition, numerous longer trips videos will be created that will be used in a targeted online campaign by Tanzania Tourism UK.
Head of Tourism Marketing, Tim Henshall added, "With Anthea's very loyal and highly engaged audience of predominantly wealthier 45 + females, she's able to communicate directly with this key demographic on behalf of Tanzania. With her bubbly, upbeat personality, I'm delighted she herself chose the destination for her 'big birthday' trip".
A national newspaper and a consumer lifestyle magazine will both be featuring the trip, with more details to follow.
Tim has been assisted in the creation of this trip by Ailsa Tavares (Travel Promoters), Claire Roadley (Umlingo PR) and Patricia Loots (Le Petit Monde).
