Anantara to open Kafue River Tented Camp in Zambia in 2026
Anantara will launch its first safari tented camp – Anantara Kafue River Tented Camp – in April 2026, set on elevated platforms above the Kafue River with direct access to Kafue National Park, Zambia’s largest and oldest reserve. The low‑impact design, raised to canopy height, is intended to protect seasonal water flow and wildlife corridors, adding a new ultra‑luxury option to Zambia’s high‑end safari offering.
The camp will feature three Horizon Terrace Suites, nine Pool Villas and a Presidential Villa that can combine into a two‑bedroom configuration, alongside butler service, wellness spaces, a pool, gym and riverside dining. Activities will include guided game drives and river excursions by boat, with access via a three‑hour drive from Lusaka or short connections from Livingstone. Indicative rates start from USD 6,190 per villa per night – rising to USD 8,000 in high season – inclusive of meals and drinks, two daily game drives and one 90‑minute spa treatment per person per stay.
