The Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel by Anantara has unveiled a comprehensive renovation of its 93 rooms, including four new Junior Suites, marking a significant upgrade for the 25-year-old property on the banks of the Zambezi River. The refreshed accommodation categories - including Deluxe Zambezi River Balcony Rooms, Grand Zambezi River Terrace Rooms, and the newly introduced Grand Zambezi River Balcony Rooms - have been redesigned to retain the hotel's signature safari-Victorian character while incorporating a contemporary Zambian aesthetic. Upgraded bathrooms feature separate soaking tubs and rain showers, while in-room enhancements include flat-screen televisions, improved Wi-Fi, and modern climate control. Private balconies and terraces have been refitted with new furnishings and large doors to maximise views of the Zambezi River and the mist from Victoria Falls.

The renovation extends to the property's wellness offering, with four riverside spa gazebos set within the hotel's gardens serving as the anchor of the Anantara Spa experience. A signature treatment, the Nalikwanda Lozi Journey, draws on the traditions of the Kuomboka ceremony and is available to both hotel guests and the public. Culinary highlights include Kubu Deck's open-air African dining on the Zambezi riverbank and Anantara's Designer Dining experiences, including private jetty breakfasts and a Royal High Tea. Area General Manager Laurie Burr said the refurbishment balances the hotel's 25-year heritage with the expectations of the modern luxury traveller, ensuring the property "remains a timeless sanctuary on the banks of the Zambezi."
