Airlink Named Official Domestic Airline for Rugby's Greatest Rivalry 2026
South African regional carrier Airlink has been appointed the official domestic airline for Rugby's Greatest Rivalry 2026, a series of men's and women's Test matches and elite provincial fixtures between South Africa and New Zealand taking place across South Africa in August and September. The tour culminates in a landmark Test at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, USA, on 12 September 2026. As the exclusive domestic carrier, Airlink will transport player squads, coaches, management and support staff between match venues throughout the series.
The South African leg of the tour spans eight matches across Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria and Johannesburg, with venues including DHL Stadium, Hollywoodbets Kings Park, Loftus Versfeld, Ellis Park and FNB Stadium. CEO de Villiers Engelbrecht noted that Airlink will offer fans competitive fares and convenient connections across the 48 destinations it serves throughout Southern and Eastern Africa and St Helena Island. The partnership positions Airlink as a key facilitator of sports tourism during one of the most high-profile rugby events to be staged in South Africa in recent years.
