Airlink and Air Austral sign bilateral SPA to extend Indian Ocean – Southern Africa reach
Airlink and Air Austral have signed a bilateral Special Prorate Agreement, effective 15 October 2025, expanding reciprocal access across their networks. Air Austral customers can connect via Johannesburg on Réunion – Johannesburg services to 45 Airlink destinations across South Africa and the wider Southern Africa region on a single ticket with through check-in and baggage.
In return, Airlink customers gain seamless ticketing to Air Austral destinations beyond Réunion – including Mauritius, Madagascar, Mayotte, the Comoros and the Seychelles. The tie-up strengthens regional connectivity between the Indian Ocean islands and the African mainland, supporting trade and tourism flows and enabling more multi-country itineraries for the travel trade.
