Air Tanzania launches routes to Accra, Cape Town and Victoria Falls
Air Tanzania has added Accra, Cape Town and Victoria Falls to its network, announced on 22 November 2025. The expansion – taking the airline beyond 14 international destinations – strengthens Dar es Salaam’s role as a continental hub, improving connectivity between East, West and Southern Africa and supporting trade, cargo and high‑value tourism.
The Dar es Salaam–Accra service is among the few direct East–West Africa links, reducing travel times and improving supply chain reliability. Cape Town targets premium tourism and business traffic while opening cargo opportunities, and Victoria Falls supports multi‑destination itineraries that link beaches, wildlife and natural landmarks. The strategy faces higher operating costs and strong competition in both regions – sustained performance will depend on load factors, yields, partnerships and cargo contracts.
