Air Tanzania cleared to launch Dar es Salaam – Accra route
Air Tanzania has received a Validated Foreign Air Operator Certificate from the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, clearing the way to commence scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The approval follows the recent launch of the airline’s Dar es Salaam – Lagos service and advances its West Africa expansion strategy.
The new link is expected to strengthen East–West African connectivity, supporting AfCFTA and SAATM objectives while opening additional options for leisure, business and cargo travel. For the trade, the route creates opportunities to build multi-country itineraries and deepen regional tourism flows between Tanzania and Ghana. Launch dates and frequencies are to be confirmed.
