Air Seychelles to Launch Rome Route Amid Gulf Carrier Disruptions
Air Seychelles is set to launch a new twice-weekly service between Seychelles and Rome Fiumicino Airport on 29 March, strengthening direct air access between the island nation and one of its key European source markets. The route will operate every Wednesday and Saturday, with a technical stop in Hurghada, Egypt.
The airline has highlighted the strategic timing of the launch, as ongoing conflict in the Gulf region has prompted the temporary suspension of services by several Gulf carriers that traditionally provide connecting flights to Seychelles. The new Rome service is positioned to ensure continued and reliable access for travellers at a time when established routing options have been disrupted.
