Air Seychelles Completes Successful Seasonal Service to Réunion
Air Seychelles has concluded its seasonal operation to Réunion Island, running from 30 December 2024 to 18 January 2025. Over the course of eight rotations, the airline carried nearly 500 passengers between the islands, highlighting strong demand for connectivity between Seychelles and Réunion. The service included direct flights as well as routes with a stopover in Mauritius, enhancing travel options for passengers. This initiative, launched in collaboration with Tourism Seychelles, aims to boost accessibility and encourage travel between the two island destinations.
The seasonal operation forms part of a strategic partnership established in June 2024 through a Special Prorate Agreement (SPA) with Air Austral following the latter's suspension of flights to Seychelles. Air Seychelles’ Chief Commercial Officer, Charles Johnson, emphasised the airline’s commitment to meeting demand during peak holiday periods and offering regular connectivity to Réunion via its Mauritius routes throughout the year. The airline expressed gratitude to its partners and passengers for their support in fostering increased travel opportunities and strengthening ties between these popular Indian Ocean destinations.
